Role Summary
We are looking for an IBM MQ and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Developer to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions in a Linux environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in message-based integration and the ability to collaborate with development and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE v11/v12), including ESQL, Java, and Graphical Mapping.
Configure and manage IBM MQ objects, including queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, and clustering.
Build and maintain integrations using MQ, REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, and file-based protocols.
Deploy and administer ACE integration servers and IBM MQ on Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu).
Write shell scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and housekeeping tasks.
Troubleshoot message flow issues, MQ errors, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
Implement error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms to ensure reliable message delivery.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and SIT/UAT support.
Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams.
Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations, if required.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ administration and development.
Strong experience with IBM ACE/IIB (v11 or v12), including ESQL, Java Compute nodes, and message transformation.
Good working knowledge of Linux commands, file systems, and shell scripting.
Understanding of messaging patterns, including point-to-point, publish/subscribe, and request-reply.
Experience with XML, JSON, XSD, and web services (REST/SOAP).
Knowledge of MQ security, including SSL/TLS, channel authentication, and authorization.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or similar.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for ACE/MQ containers.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar.
IBM certifications in MQ or ACE.
Domain exposure in Banking, Insurance, Retail, or related industries.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
