About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in systems integration, software development, and technical project management to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple technical teams, including Information Assurance, Engineering, Testing, Configuration Management, and Training, to develop, integrate, and support complex software systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in proposing and demonstrating technical approaches aligned with military standards and specifications, ensuring our solutions meet stringent security and performance requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining detailed documentation, and supporting lab setup and configuration activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that have a meaningful impact on national security and technological innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software design, coding, systems integration, and requirements management. Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with software development tools such as C/C++, Jira, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar DevSecOps platforms, as well as experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems. A strong background in engineering, designing, testing, and supporting software and hardware systems is essential, complemented by at least 4 years of troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance. An active Secret security clearance is required to qualify for this role.
Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with multiple technical teams, including Information Assurance, Engineering, Testing, Configuration Management, and Training, to deliver integrated solutions.
Propose and demonstrate technical approaches that align with military standards and specifications, ensuring compliance and security.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks, and communicating progress, successes, and challenges to the technical team and stakeholders.
Adhere to prescribed configuration management protocols for all coding activities to maintain system integrity and traceability.
Work with government personnel to set up lab environments, including installing and updating software and configuring systems to meet project requirements.
Create, review, and maintain comprehensive documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, system configurations (software and hardware), and related technical materials.
