Role Description The Life Insurance Advisor is a part-time remote role focused on helping individuals and families select suitable life insurance and financial protection solutions. On a day-to-day basis, the advisor will engage with prospective and existing customers, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate plans such as term, savings, retirement, and child education policies. The role includes explaining product features and benefits, assisting with application and documentation processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. The advisor will follow up with customers, provide ongoing policy servicing support, and build long-term relationships to encourage renewals and cross-selling opportunities. The role also involves staying updated on product changes, market trends, and company campaigns to offer informed advice.
Qualifications
Strong customer-facing skills, including active listening, relationship-building, and the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and confidently.
Sales and advisory capabilities, such as basic knowledge of insurance or financial products, consultative selling, and goal-oriented follow-up with leads.
Communication and digital skills, including proficient verbal and written communication in English and/or local languages, and comfort using phone, email, and online platforms for remote work.
Organizational and analytical abilities, including attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and the capacity to assess customer needs and match them to suitable products.
Self-motivated, ethical approach to work, with a commitment to customer-centric service, adherence to regulatory and company policies, and the ability to manage a flexible part-time schedule.
Minimum educational qualification typically at the higher secondary level or above; a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business, or related fields is an advantage.
Prior experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or direct sales is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or certifications in insurance advisory will be considered beneficial.
