Role Description The Cluster Head is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Chennai, responsible for driving business growth and operational excellence across an assigned cluster of branches or distribution channels. The role involves setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives in line with company goals. The Cluster Head will oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development of sales and relationship teams, ensuring high levels of productivity and compliance with regulatory and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing sales pipelines, conducting regular performance reviews and coaching sessions, coordinating marketing and customer engagement activities, and strengthening relationships with key partners and stakeholders. The role also requires close collaboration with regional and corporate teams to share market insights, improve processes, and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in guiding and developing sales or business teams.
Proven track record in sales, business development, or distribution management, preferably in life insurance or financial services.
Ability to analyze performance data, manage targets, and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Sound understanding of life insurance products, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Comfort with working in an on-site, field-oriented role, including regular travel within the assigned cluster.
Demonstrated ability to work ethically, uphold compliance standards, and foster an inclusive, performance-driven culture.
