Role Description The Vice President of Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing organizational operations, ensuring alignment with TSD’s strategic priorities, and supporting high-quality program delivery. This role leads operational planning, coordinates cross-regional activities, and optimizes systems and processes for efficiency and impact. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing operational budgets and performance, supporting program and project teams, monitoring key performance indicators, and coordinating with finance, HR, and program leadership to ensure compliance with organizational policies. The Vice President of Operations will contribute to strategic decision-making, strengthen risk management and quality assurance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the organization. The role also involves building relationships with partners and stakeholders to support operational excellence and sustainability.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
Proficiency in P&L Management and financial oversight to support budgeting, cost control, and operational sustainability.
Experience in Customer Service and stakeholder engagement to ensure responsive, inclusive, and high-quality support to partners and communities.
Demonstrated Strategic Planning skills for designing and implementing long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Proven Project Management skills to oversee complex, multi-region initiatives and ensure timely, quality delivery.
Relevant experience in nonprofit, civil society, or social development organizations, ideally within multi-regional or decentralized structures.
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote and diverse teams.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
Ability to analyze data for decision-making, manage risk, and ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and donor requirements.
