Originating as an Anti-AIDS club founded by high school students in Shashemene, TSD has grown into a national organization implementing impactful programs across Oromia, Sidama, South Ethiopia, Central Ethiopia, and Addis Ababa. The organization focuses on Youth Empowerment and Peacebuilding, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Gender Development, as well as Climate Justice and Livelihoods. Through decentralized regional offices and coordination hubs, TSD ensures strong grassroots engagement and sustainable impact. TSD emphasizes evidence-based advocacy, inclusive development, and local leadership to build a more just, healthy, and empowered Ethiopia.
Role Description The Vice President of Sales is a full-time remote role responsible for leading TSD’s sales and partnership development efforts to expand funding streams, strategic collaborations, and program reach. This role oversees sales strategy design and execution, including identifying and cultivating new institutional and corporate partners, donors, and service clients aligned with TSD’s mission. The Vice President of Sales will manage and mentor the sales and business development team, set performance targets, and monitor pipelines, forecasts, and key performance indicators. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating proposal and pitch development, maintaining strong relationships with existing partners, collaborating with program and finance teams on solution design and pricing, and ensuring efficient sales operations and reporting. The role also involves representing TSD in key external meetings, refining value propositions for different stakeholders, and contributing to long-term organizational growth planning.
Qualifications
Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, including setting strategy, driving revenue growth, and leading high-performing sales teams.
Experience in Business Development and Account Management, with a proven record of building, nurturing, and expanding strategic partnerships.
Expertise in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and use of CRM or similar systems.
Ability to align sales initiatives with organizational mission and impact goals, preferably within non-profit, social impact, or development sectors.
Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities, with inclusive, collaborative, and ethical decision-making practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community organizations.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Development Studies, or a related field; an advanced degree is an asset.
