Role Description The Software Development Engineer (SDE) will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and web applications that support EgoTECHworld’s technology solutions and content platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating APIs and databases, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other engineers, product stakeholders, and content teams. The SDE will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve development workflows and system performance. This is a full-time remote role, requiring the ability to work effectively in a distributed team and manage tasks independently.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Hands-on experience in Software Development, including designing, implementing, and maintaining production-quality applications or services.
Skills in Back-End Web Development, such as building RESTful APIs, working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integrating server-side frameworks.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
Understanding of software testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.
Ability to communicate clearly, work remotely in a team environment, and manage time and tasks effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
