Role Description The Database Developer role at EgoTECHworld is a full-time remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that support core applications and business processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and optimizing database schemas, writing and tuning queries, and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure reliable data integration across systems. The role involves monitoring database performance, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient data models. The Database Developer is expected to follow best practices for data security, integrity, and scalability while documenting solutions and participating in code and design reviews.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Database Development and Database Design for building and optimizing data structures and queries.
Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration for managing, monitoring, and securing database environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Analytical Skills for integrating data and deriving actionable insights.
Experience with SQL and at least one major database platform (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of data modeling concepts, normalization, indexing, and performance tuning is preferred.
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) for data-related automation is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting are essential.
A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable.
