📋 Key Terms to Verify in Your Offer Letter
(Since it is purely contract-basis on an external site,)
Since your company operates in a multi-brand and custom-design mode, your role will be highly dynamic. Instead of selling a single manufacturer's catalog, you will act as a solution integrator. You will mix and match different brands to create tailor-made HVAC/MEP systems that fit the client's exact budget, space, and efficiency needs.
Here is how your specific business model changes your responsibilities across both roles:
🛠️ Year 1: HVAC MEP Projects Associate Engineer
In a multi-brand and custom environment, your technical learning curve will be steep but highly rewarding. You cannot rely on a single brand's software; you must understand the entire market.
Brand Comparison & Compatibility: You will evaluate multiple brands (e.g., comparing Daikin vs. Mitsubishi VRV systems, or Carrier vs. Trane chillers) to find the best fit for a project's technical requirements.
Custom Engineering: Because you offer "custom designs," you will spend less time looking at standard catalogs and more time engineering unique solutions—such as specialized duct routing, acoustic treatments, or integrating smart building management systems (BMS).
Vendor & OEM Liaison: You will build direct relationships with application engineers from various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to get custom pricing and technical support.
💼 Year 2+: Territorial Business Development Manager
Selling custom, multi-brand solutions requires a consultative, high-value sales approach. You are selling engineering expertise, not just a product.
Unbiased Consultative Selling: You have a massive competitive advantage. You can pitch yourself to MEP consultants and architects as a neutral expert who provides the best objective solution for their project, rather than forcing a single brand down their throat.
Budget Flexibility: If a client loves Brand A but cannot afford it, your multi-brand portfolio allows you to quickly re-engineer the proposal using Brand B or C to save the deal without losing the client.
Value Engineering Pitches: Your main pitch to developers will be "Value Engineering"—showing them how your custom design can lower their upfront capital costs (CAPEX) or long-term operational/energy costs (OPEX) compared to standard, single-brand layouts.
