Role Description The Website Tester role at EgoTECHworld is a full-time, remote position focused on ensuring the quality, usability, and reliability of web applications. In this role, the Website Tester will plan and execute test cases, perform functional and regression testing, and verify that websites work correctly across different browsers, devices, and operating systems. Daily responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and designers to resolve issues, and validating fixes before release. The Website Tester will also review requirements and design documents, provide feedback on user experience and accessibility, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and standards.
Qualifications
Strong skills in website functional testing, regression testing, and cross-browser/cross-device testing.
Experience using test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) and documenting clear, reproducible defects.
Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common content management systems.
Familiarity with usability, accessibility, and performance testing principles for modern websites.
Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time well, and meet deadlines consistently.
Prior experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field; ISTQB or similar certification is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
