Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills and Experience
1-3 years of relevant experience
Basic knowledge of workers' compensation coding and policies
Strong grammar, organizational, and communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 applications
Ability to work with various software applications
Experience with Prism/ClientSpace payroll and CRM systems is a plus
Responsibilities
Assist workers' compensation underwriters with carrier submissions as needed.
Serve as the primary intake contact for new clients entering the onboarding stage.
Participate in onboarding conference calls with new clients.
Set up or assign workers' compensation plans and accruals in the payroll system.
Resolve payroll errors generated for new clients as needed.
Ensure newly onboarded employees are assigned the correct workers' compensation code for each applicable state.
Update the CRM with relevant risk data.
Report newly added state exposures for existing clients.
Provide backup support for the Workers' Compensation Underwriting Assistant.
