AWS Solutions Architect

Role Overview:
An AWS Solutions Architect designs, implements, and manages scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role involves working with development, DevOps, security, and business teams to translate business requirements into reliable cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect cloud solutions using AWS services.
Develop highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant AWS architectures.
Design solutions using services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch, and AWS WAF.
Design secure AWS environments following AWS security and best practices.
Implement networking architectures including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, VPN, and Direct Connect.
Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Migrate on-premises applications and infrastructure to AWS.
Optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, and cost.
Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.
Use Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to automate infrastructure deployment.
Monitor AWS infrastructure and troubleshoot performance, availability, and security issues.
Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
Review existing cloud environments and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements.
Ensure solutions comply with organizational security, governance, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture.
Experience with AWS networking, security, compute, storage, and databases.
Understanding of Linux/Windows administration.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and networking concepts.
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
Understanding of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Experience with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch and related tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
Certifications Requirement:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Typical Experience:
3–8+ years of IT/cloud experience, with hands-on AWS architecture and implementation experience.
