Computer Aided Design Drafter

Millwork Recruiting Source is recruiting a Drafter for a company specializing in luxury custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. This opportunity is suited to someone with 3–5 years of relevant experience who enjoys turning detailed designs into clear, accurate, buildable shop drawings. Onsite is preferred. Remote candidates based in Illinois or Wisconsin will also be considered.
What you’ll do
Create 2D AutoCAD submittal and shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, dimensions, and notes.
Interpret architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, field information, and project markups.
Show materials, hardware, appliance requirements, reveals, alignments, and installation conditions accurately.
Incorporate review comments and approved revisions throughout the drawing set.
Identify missing information or dimensional conflicts early and work with the drafting supervisor, engineering manager, and project managers to resolve them.
Maintain organized drawing files and follow established drafting standards and revision procedures.
What we’re looking for
Approximately 3–5 years of drafting experience in custom cabinetry or architectural millwork, ideally on luxury projects.
Strong 2D AutoCAD skills and experience preparing submittal or shop drawings.
Ability to read architectural and interior design documents and produce clear, dimensionally accurate details.
Working knowledge of millwork materials, hardware, construction methods, and installation considerations.
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and a willingness to learn.
