About the Role
We are looking for a sales-oriented Travel Specialist with strong knowledge of the travel industry and a passion for creating memorable travel experiences. The ideal candidate should have excellent destination knowledge across domestic and international markets, strong communication skills, and the ability to convert travel enquiries into confirmed bookings.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, understands their travel requirements, and can confidently recommend and sell the right holiday packages while achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer enquiries and understand their travel requirements, preferences, and budgets.
Recommend and sell suitable domestic and international holiday packages.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of popular destinations, itineraries, hotels, sightseeing, activities, and travel products.
Generate leads, follow up with prospective customers, and convert enquiries into bookings.
Prepare customized travel itineraries and quotations based on customer requirements.
Negotiate effectively and close sales while maintaining healthy margins.
Achieve and consistently work towards monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business and referrals.
Coordinate with internal teams, hotels, airlines, DMCs, and other travel partners to ensure smooth trip execution.
Stay updated on new destinations, travel trends, seasonal offers, and destination-specific products.
Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, conversions, and sales activities.
Candidate Profile
Freshers to 6 years of experience in travel sales, holiday sales, tour operations, or a related travel-industry role.
Strong sales orientation with a proven ability or willingness to work towards targets.
Good knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer-handling, negotiation, and convincing skills.
Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable travel solutions.
Confident in follow-ups and converting leads into bookings.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a performance-oriented environment.
Experience with travel packages, itineraries, GDS/CRM, or travel booking systems will be an added advantage.
