Role Description The Freelance Web Developer will work remotely in a full-time capacity, collaborating with internal teams and clients to design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications. Daily tasks include implementing front-end and back-end features, optimizing site performance, integrating APIs and third-party services, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, reviewing requirements, and translating business needs into clean, efficient code. The developer will also contribute to technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and stay informed about modern web technologies to continuously improve project quality.
Qualifications
Strong front-end development skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
Solid back-end development experience with languages and frameworks such as Node.js, PHP, or Python, and familiarity with RESTful APIs.
Experience with databases and data storage solutions, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL systems.
Knowledge of version control and collaborative workflows using tools like Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and best practices for usability and performance optimization.
Experience with deployment, hosting, and basic DevOps concepts (e.g., cloud services, CI/CD, or containerization) is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently in a remote environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
Prior freelance or project-based experience with a demonstrable portfolio of web development work is preferred.
