ROLE SUMMARY Develops and maintains data-centric scripts, applications, integrations and automation solutions supporting data processing, data quality and reporting requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Developing and maintaining custom scripts and programs for data cleansing, standardisation, matching and transformation.  Designing and implementing integrations connecting systems, applications and databases.  Building and maintaining APIs and backend services supporting data exchange.  Developing automation solutions for data-quality checks, monitoring and reporting.  Supporting data-driven dashboards and reporting systems.  Troubleshooting data-processing errors, performance bottlenecks and integration issues.  Participating in code reviews and maintaining coding standards and documentation.  Collaborating with Data Engineers, Analysts and System Administrators on end-to-end data solutions. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.  Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Programming, Software Development, Data Integration or a similar role.  Strong programming capability in Python, SQL and/or NodeJS/JavaScript.  Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and API development.  Familiarity with BI and data-visualisation platforms.  Experience with parallel/data-processing frameworks such as DuckDB, Polars or Spark would be advantageous.  Strong logical thinking, debugging and problem-solving skills.  Experience in energy, banking or another large enterprise environment would be advantageous.
