Design Engineer

Role Description The Design Engineer role at Beta is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruvallur. This role involves designing and developing components and systems for Beta’s software-enabled products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into practical engineering solutions. The Design Engineer will create and review detailed CAD models and drawings, perform feasibility and performance analyses, and support prototyping, testing, and iteration. Daily responsibilities also include preparing technical documentation, ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, and working with manufacturing or implementation teams to ensure smooth production and deployment. The individual in this role will contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and participate in design reviews to maintain quality and reliability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, with the ability to take concepts from requirements to manufacturable solutions.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including knowledge of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering knowledge relevant to integrating electrical or electronic components into product designs.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform basic calculations, and apply engineering standards and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams on-site.
Experience with prototype development, testing, and design validation, and familiarity with product lifecycle processes is beneficial.
