Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will work on-site in Tiruvallur in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of BETA’s core software products and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and implementing back-end services, writing clean and efficient code, reviewing peer code for quality and performance, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions, optimize existing systems, and ensure security and reliability across applications. The Senior Software Engineer will also mentor junior developers, help define best practices, and participate in continuous improvement efforts for development processes and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for high-performance, scalable applications.
Proficiency in Programming using modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar) and frameworks.
Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design patterns.
Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Knowledge of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and debugging complex production issues.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, mentor others, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in product-based companies and exposure to agile development methodologies is highly beneficial.
