Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Tiruvallur. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and back-end services that support BETA’s product portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product management, QA, and UX. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, optimizing application performance and scalability, and contributing to architectural decisions. The Software Engineer will also support continuous integration and deployment processes and help improve engineering practices and standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to apply core principles to real-world product challenges.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, integrating databases, and working with server-side frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Understanding of software testing practices, debugging techniques, and performance optimization.
Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps tools is a plus.
