About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Solution Architecture to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions across the organization. This position will work closely with executive leadership, product teams, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into practical and sustainable solution architectures.
The Director will play a key role in establishing architectural direction, evaluating solution options, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that technology solutions support the company’s long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of enterprise and business solution architectures.
Translate business objectives and operational requirements into scalable solution designs.
Establish architectural standards, principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Partner with business and technology leaders to evaluate complex requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Oversee architecture reviews, solution assessments, and technical decision-making processes.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational complexity.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend modernization, integration, or optimization strategies.
Ensure proposed solutions align with business priorities, security requirements, scalability objectives, and operational needs.
Lead cross-functional architecture initiatives from initial planning through implementation.
Review solution proposals, architectural documentation, technical designs, and implementation plans.
Provide strategic guidance to project and delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and potential implementation challenges.
Establish governance processes to maintain consistency and quality across solution designs.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term technology and solution strategies.
Mentor and provide direction to solution architects and other technical professionals.
Monitor emerging technologies and industry developments to identify opportunities for business improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technology consulting, systems design, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience leading architecture teams or major cross-functional initiatives.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems, application integration, data flows, APIs, cloud environments, and technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solution architectures.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with executives, business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
Experience managing multiple priorities and complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of architectural governance, documentation, risk management, and solution lifecycle processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within financial services, fintech, digital finance, payments, or other technology-driven industries.
Experience designing solutions for highly scalable and distributed environments.
Familiarity with cloud architecture and modern enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and solution governance.
Experience leading large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives.
Strong understanding of security, availability, resilience, and business continuity considerations.
