About the Opportunity:
The STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER, IDSM will play a key role in advancing the platform that simplifies the machine learning lifecycle from development to deployment and management. This position will impact the organization by designing and implementing scalable systems and features that enhance model deployment, monitoring, discoverability, and performance. The role contributes by enabling data science teams to operate efficiently at scale and by expanding the platform's capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to design model deployment solutions on platforms like AWS SageMaker and Azure ML
Develop a Data Science Catalog to facilitate discovery and summarization of data science resources
Integrate model monitoring for comprehensive deployment health and performance insights
Improve tagging features to enhance model and resource discoverability
Expand large language model hosting capabilities to support scale, performance, and logging requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years experience as a software engineering individual contributor
Strong expertise in AI/ML model design, building, deployment, and lifecycle management
Proficiency in building scalable back-end systems in distributed environments
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams for system integration
Skilled in designing and implementing secure, scalable APIs (RESTful, gRPC)
Ability to profile and optimize back-end performance, particularly in cloud and containerized environments
Familiarity with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline setup
Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Azure ML, SageMaker) is a plus
Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Compensation Range $200,000—$235,000 USD
