We aim to strengthen our legal, compliance, and business advisory capabilities while supporting the growth of our own initiatives and our clients.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Legal Advisory & Documentation: Draft, review, and manage business agreements, service contracts, NDAs, consultancy agreements, partnership agreements, employment documents, and other legal documentation.
Corporate & Business Compliance: Support applicable company-law, regulatory, contractual, and statutory compliance requirements, maintain compliance calendars, and coordinate with company secretaries, chartered accountants, and external legal professionals when required.
Startup & MSME Legal Support: Assist with legal structuring, business registrations, commercial documentation, contractual risk assessment, and regulatory requirements relevant to startups, entrepreneurs, and MSMEs.
Intellectual Property & Innovation: Support trademark, copyright, patent-related documentation, IP protection strategies, confidentiality arrangements, and coordination with patent professionals for innovation-driven projects.
Funding & Partnership Documentation: Review and prepare documentation related to funding discussions, investment proposals, strategic partnerships, MoUs, and stakeholder engagements, coordinating with qualified professionals where specialised advice is needed.
Legal Research & Risk Management: Research relevant laws, regulations, government schemes, and policy updates; identify legal risks; and recommend practical measures to protect the organisation’s interests.
Internal Legal Systems: Establish legal documentation processes, contract registers, compliance trackers, standard templates, and record-management systems to support efficient operations and responsible business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
Relevant experience or demonstrated capability in corporate law, commercial contracts, business compliance, or startup legal support.
Strong legal research, drafting, documentation, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with company law, contract law, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements relevant to businesses.
Ability to assess contractual risks and communicate legal issues clearly to non-legal teams.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with startups, MSMEs, consulting organisations, or innovation-focused businesses is preferred.
Professional enrolment and eligibility to practise, where required for the specific legal work undertaken.
Equity & Engagement Structure
Compensation: Equity-based only at the current stage; no fixed salary.
Equity allocation: To be discussed based on qualifications, expertise, responsibilities, contribution, and long-term commitment.
Vesting: A proposed 5-year vesting structure for core founding team members, subject to the final agreement.
Future compensation: Fixed compensation may be introduced after funding and revenue stabilisation. This could take 6–8 months or potentially a year.
Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with on-site or hybrid coordination as required.
