About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Product Designer to join our team on a project-based, fully remote basis. This ongoing contract role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the travel and hospitality industry, supporting approximately 40 client accounts through full website builds, feature updates, and innovative AI product design. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in digital product design, demonstrating a strong proficiency in Figma and a solid understanding of UX/UI principles. You will work closely with a senior-level UI/UX team within a structured design system, ensuring seamless collaboration with engineering teams for efficient product delivery.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing across multiple viewports, preparing developer-ready files, and contributing to UX consulting efforts. Your expertise will help enhance user experiences by adhering to digital best practices, including accessibility standards and responsive design. You will also play a vital role in diagnosing product issues, presenting data-informed solutions, and ensuring the delivery of well-documented design files that facilitate smooth engineering handoffs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
4+ years of experience in digital product design or UX/UI design
Proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, and multi-viewport layouts
Experience with engineering handoff processes, such as creating technical specifications, annotations, and responsive design documentation
Strong understanding of digital best practices, including mobile-first design, accessibility standards, web-safe fonts, and email design constraints
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret product data and communicate design rationale effectively to non-design stakeholders
Responsibilities
Design user interfaces across multiple viewports (mobile-first through desktop) within an established Figma design system
Prepare and deliver developer-ready files, including technical specifications, annotations, and content notes
Contribute to UX consulting activities such as heuristic evaluations and journey mapping to optimize user experiences
Ensure all designs comply with digital best practices, including accessibility, responsiveness, and usability standards
Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose product issues and present data-driven, innovative solutions to clients
Hand off structured, well-documented design files to engineering teams to facilitate seamless implementation
