About The Role
The Analyst, Data Maintenance, plays a crucial role in supporting Visa’s global supplier onboarding process by conducting due diligence, managing risk controls, and maintaining accurate master data. The primary responsibility involves overseeing the management of supplier and employee master records within core payment systems such as Oracle and Ariba. This includes processing data creation and change requests, ensuring all supplier records undergo the necessary controls, and verifying the accuracy of payment-related data. The role demands a proactive individual capable of working in a complex, international, and multi-currency environment, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will coordinate onboarding activities, validate data, and support ongoing reporting to monitor the status of onboarding and data updates. They will act as the primary point of contact for business queries, providing guidance on process steps and collaborating with procurement and risk teams to align process requirements. The position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities within stipulated SLAs. This is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX, requiring at least three days in the office per week, with specific expectations to be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
Preferred: 3 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree
Background in Finance, Audit, Risk, or Compliance with a focus on operational controls
Experience with finance systems such as Oracle and Ariba is desirable but not mandatory
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
Knowledge of the payment industry and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma) is a plus
Proficiency in Excel and data manipulation
Self-motivated with a customer-focused approach
Ability to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
Responsibilities
Manage incoming requests for supplier and employee master data setup, updates, and maintenance within Oracle and Ariba platforms
Follow up on open requests (Ask Now tickets) to ensure timely resolution within established SLAs
Act as the primary contact for business queries, providing guidance on process steps and data requirements
Collaborate with procurement and risk functions to align process requirements and ensure compliance
Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers, including data validation, due diligence, and system entry
Record supplier entry and exit from due diligence controls to ensure accurate bank account setup
Generate ongoing reports to track in-flight onboarding and data change activities
Provide periodic performance reports on onboarding and data maintenance activities
Monitor and report on the status of new and in-progress work tickets
Maintain detailed documentation of data maintenance processes and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
