About The Role
The Marketing Manager role at Visa is pivotal in planning and executing projects that support the company's marketing objectives. This position involves working independently or collaboratively to recommend strategic actions, develop project schedules, analyze economic factors, estimate costs, and oversee projects from inception to completion. The role requires digital fluency, including familiarity with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance daily workflows. The primary focus is serving as the key marketing commercialization lead for Visa's Value Added Services (VAS) banking and issuing solutions portfolio in North America. This entails providing market intelligence, customer insights, and strategic recommendations to inform product development, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives. The role also involves driving regional demand generation, market education programs, and account engagement activities to deepen client relationships and expand solution adoption. Collaboration with sales, product, GTM, and executive teams is essential to align marketing efforts with business goals, identify new revenue opportunities, and support cross-selling and upselling initiatives. Additionally, the role encompasses content localization, performance measurement, and leveraging data insights to optimize marketing investments and business outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD); or 0 years with a PhD
Preferred: 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree; up to 3 years with a PhD
Proven ability to engage, influence, and partner with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of the financial services audience, including banks, issuers, processors, fintechs, and risk management stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
Highly collaborative, solutions-oriented, and energetic with a positive team attitude
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
Experience working across global and regional teams with cultural awareness
Deep expertise in marketing strategy, go-to-market planning, demand generation, and product launches within Financial Services, Payments, or Technology sectors
Ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools to support marketing initiatives
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary marketing commercialization lead for Visa's VAS banking and issuing solutions portfolio in North America
Provide market intelligence, customer insights, and strategic recommendations to inform product and growth strategies
Drive and deliver regional VAS growth marketing programs focused on demand generation and market education
Create marketing programs that generate measurable pipeline, deepen account engagement, and expand solution adoption
Collaborate closely with sales, product, GTM, and executive teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives
Translate business priorities into actionable marketing plans leveraging content and best practices to enhance awareness and demand
Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and client needs to develop effective marketing campaigns that drive revenue and pipeline growth
Partner with stakeholders to enable sales through targeted messaging and sales enablement tools
Manage the planning and execution of industry and Visa-hosted events, including pre-event positioning, onsite activation, and post-event follow-up
Drive localization and development of regional marketing and sales content to meet regional and customer-specific needs
Own the measurement and reporting of marketing performance, including pipeline contribution, revenue influence, and solution adoption metrics
Leverage data-driven insights to optimize marketing investments and improve overall business outcomes
