About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer Software Quality to join our team in Woodland Hills, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and quality of our software systems that support critical defense and aerospace applications. As an Engineer Software Quality, you will develop and maintain standards, review software design and specifications, and ensure compliance with contractual and process requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance processes, conduct reviews, and verify software requirements, traceability, and testability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and Ada, along with experience in software quality assurance processes. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that impact national security and technological advancement, with travel requirements of approximately 10%.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree with no experience required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Experience in implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and Ada.
Familiarity with software problem tracking tools like SAP, DOORs, Jira, and Confluence.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
Ensure that software measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
Create and oversee implementation of overall operating criteria to support software quality programs aligned with project, process, and contract requirements.
Review software design, change specifications, and plans to ensure compliance with contractual and process requirements.
Assess applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies during reviews.
Verify software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability through reviews or direct verification activities.
Collaborate with development teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Collect and analyze software data and metrics to support quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in peer reviews, code reviews, and process audits to uphold quality standards.
