About The Role
Quevera is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security architectures across a multi-vendor AWS environment. You will play a key role in automation, compliance, and security posture management, ensuring the integrity and security of cloud infrastructure and applications. The position involves working across multiple locations including Herndon, Springfield, Denver, and Seattle, with a flexible work arrangement that includes remote options. Candidates must be willing and able to work from AWS SCIFs as required, supporting high-security environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale cloud security initiatives, leveraging advanced cloud and security technologies to safeguard sensitive information and systems.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Proven experience with AWS cloud security architecture and best practices
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience with multi-account AWS environments and cross-account security integrations
Familiarity with compliance standards and security artifacts including IATTs and ATOs
Experience integrating distributed logging systems, such as C5ISR
Ability to assess and enhance security posture within complex environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to work from AWS SCIFs and be flexible with work locations
Responsibilities
Design and implement security architectures and automation solutions within AWS environments
Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to standardize and centralize security services across multiple AWS accounts
Assess current security postures, identify gaps, and drive vendor alignment with organizational standards
Support compliance efforts by producing necessary artifacts, including IATTs and ATOs
Integrate distributed logging solutions into centralized review platforms such as C5ISR
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate security solutions, and participate in Agile/Scrum processes
Build and maintain orchestration layers using AWS Bedrock, LangChain, or custom frameworks for multi-model workflows
Develop and evaluate classification models, including training, testing, and feedback iteration
Architect enterprise-scale GenAI solutions focusing on high availability, performance, and cost efficiency
Apply responsible AI practices, including observability, model evaluation, guardrails, and version control
Design data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and integration supporting model training and enterprise applications
Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and handoff artifacts for project continuity
