About The Role
The SEO Content Strategist at TPG, Inc. plays a pivotal role in driving organic growth through strategic content development and optimization. This remote position involves translating keyword insights, search trends, and product knowledge into compelling, high-performance content that enhances visibility and engagement across the company's eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will develop and implement SEO strategies that leverage traditional search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), aligning content with seasonal demand, customer needs, and evolving search engine behaviors. The role requires a blend of analytical thinking, creativity, and hands-on execution to improve search rankings, increase qualified traffic, and support revenue growth. The SEO Content Strategist will collaborate with marketing, eCommerce, and creative teams to ensure content quality, consistency, and adherence to SEO best practices, all while maintaining a trustworthy and customer-focused tone. Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in pond-related products and industry terminology, enabling effective content creation that educates and influences customer decisions. This position offers an opportunity to impact the company's organic presence significantly while working in a flexible, remote environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in SEO content strategy or content-focused SEO, preferably within a B2C eCommerce environment
Strong understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals, search intent, and conversion-focused content creation
Proficiency in keyword research using enterprise SEO tools to identify opportunities, analyze performance, and map keywords to content categories
Exceptional writing, editing, and content production skills with the ability to craft clear, authoritative, and customer-centric content
Hands-on experience using GA4 and Google Search Console for performance analysis and optimization
Knowledge of AI, generative search trends, and large language model behaviors to inform content strategies
Attention to detail with proven proofreading skills and ability to balance feedback with brand consistency
Self-motivated, innovative, and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with reliable internet and workspace setup
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 35 pounds and standing for extended periods during training or on-site activities
Responsibilities
Develop and refine SEO-driven content strategies that increase organic visibility, enhance category authority, and improve content performance across blogs, product pages, category pages, and FAQs
Create high-quality, search-optimized content from initial concept through to final draft, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and engagement
Conduct comprehensive keyword research focused on search intent, content gaps, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
Lead SEO reporting efforts, analyze performance data, and leverage insights to prioritize optimization initiatives that boost rankings and engagement
Implement on-page SEO best practices by crafting compelling meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, schema markup, and internal linking structures
Ensure all content aligns with SEO standards while maintaining brand voice, readability, and conversion focus
Monitor emerging trends in search, AI, and content marketing, applying new insights to continually refine strategies, especially around generative engine optimization
Collaborate with marketing, eCommerce, and creative teams to translate technical SEO insights into actionable content recommendations
Support seasonal and weather-driven content planning to align with pond and water feature maintenance cycles
Maintain a high standard of content quality, accuracy, and compliance with brand guidelines and SEO best practices
