About The Role
The FP&A Manager plays a pivotal role within Omega's finance team, responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical activities that support business performance and strategic decision-making across Omega’s multi-division manufacturing platform. Reporting directly to the CFO, the incumbent collaborates with senior leadership and functional managers to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and uncover opportunities that align with Omega’s strategic objectives. This hands-on position requires advanced financial modeling, dashboard development, and management reporting skills, serving as a key business partner for operational and executive teams. The role also involves supporting Board presentations, investor relations, and private equity stakeholders, with a focus on delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively across various levels of the organization. Flexibility to work from Omega’s locations in Brattleboro, VT, Ayer, MA, or Hopewell Junction, NY is preferred, accommodating the needs of a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or manufacturing finance
Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex forecasting models and dashboards
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and KPI development
Experience working in multi-site manufacturing environments and/or private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisitive businesses
Familiarity with ERP, FP&A, business intelligence, or financial reporting systems; Global Shop Solutions experience is a plus
Advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA preferred
Excellent communication skills, strong business judgment, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reporting packages for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, private equity investors, and lenders
Translate financial results into clear insights, actionable recommendations, risks, and opportunities for business improvement
Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance across divisions, sites, customers, and products
Support pricing strategies, customer profitability analysis, product portfolio management, margin enhancement initiatives, and cash flow optimization
Act as a trusted financial partner to operational, engineering, supply chain, sales, and finance leaders, providing strategic financial insights
Assist in decision-making through financial modeling, ROI assessments, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis
Develop a deep understanding of Omega’s business model, operating drivers, ERP data, and strategic priorities to inform financial analysis
Support annual budgeting processes, monthly forecasts, and multi-year planning efforts in collaboration with division and functional leaders
Monitor actual results against budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and refine forecasting methodologies
Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, planning, and analytics processes
Leverage ERP, business intelligence, and reporting systems to enhance decision-making capabilities
Analyze manufacturing costs, labor productivity, yield, scrap, inventory, capacity utilization, and working capital trends
Partner with accounting and finance teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and FP&A activities
