About The Role
The Human Resources Generalist at Zywie plays a vital role in managing and executing a broad spectrum of HR functions across a multi-state, remote workforce. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this position offers a unique opportunity for a proactive HR professional to influence and shape the company's HR practices, systems, and policies. The role involves handling day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, and supporting talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong judgment, capable of working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable HR processes and a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of generalist HR experience across recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, compliance, or performance management
Solid understanding of federal and multi-state employment and labor laws
Experience with HRIS platforms and data management
Excellent judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in sensitive situations
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures; provide guidance on interpretation and application
Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple states, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, and state-specific laws
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers
Coordinate onboarding processes, including system setup, paperwork, orientation, and follow-up at 30/60/90 days
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues; conduct investigations as needed
Support managers with performance management, corrective actions, and employee development initiatives
Administer benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave policies; manage open enrollment and related communications
Assist with compensation benchmarking, salary adjustments, and payroll data accuracy in partnership with Finance
Oversee performance review cycles, goal setting, and employee engagement initiatives
Maintain accurate HRIS data, generate reports, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements
Identify opportunities for automation and standardization of HR processes; maintain SOPs and knowledge bases
