About The Role
This is NOT a remote position; office is located in Silverthorne, CO. No relocation packages available. The Opportunity
Summit Express is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted resource and practical partner to our business owners. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day people functions, including recruiting top talent, onboarding new employees, addressing employee relations issues, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently without extensive corporate infrastructure. You will move seamlessly between sensitive employee conversations, recruiting deadlines, benefits inquiries, and data reporting, contributing significantly to our organizational success.
Your primary focus will be to support a positive workplace culture, ensure legal compliance, and facilitate effective communication between employees and management. Qualifications
Five or more years of progressive, hands-on HR experience
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and separations
Confidence working directly with business owners and managers, providing sound judgment and clear recommendations
Strong knowledge of practical HR and employment practices, with the ability to seek specialist guidance when necessary
Proficiency with HR systems, applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
Excellent communication skills, discretion, organization, and attention to detail
A genuine service mindset with the ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs
Responsibilities
Recruit, screen, interview, select, and hire candidates for operational and office roles
Develop and execute a professional and organized onboarding process for new employees and managers
Manage employee relations matters, conduct workplace investigations, and handle performance documentation, corrective actions, and terminations in collaboration with ownership
Administer benefits programs, handle employee communications, enrollments, changes, and coordinate with vendors to ensure record accuracy
Develop and communicate company policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand expectations and managers apply them consistently
Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics, including headcount, vacancies, turnover, retention, attendance, onboarding, training, and performance follow-up
Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and ensure compliance with administrative deadlines and documentation requirements
Support office administration projects, data reporting, document management, and provide leadership support as needed
