Role Description The Global Vice President of Finance is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial strategy, planning, and operations across Walk On Ventures and its portfolio activities. This role will lead the development of long-term financial plans, capital allocation strategies, and performance metrics to support scalable growth and value creation. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting and forecasting, overseeing consolidation of financial statements, and ensuring robust budgeting and cash flow management. The Global VP of Finance will design and refine financial frameworks for advisory and venture activities, provide analytical insights to leadership and founders, and support transaction readiness for fundraising, M&A, and other capital events. This role will also establish strong internal controls, optimize financial systems and processes, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Finance and Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and long-range strategic modeling.
Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with experience in consolidation, compliance, and stakeholder-ready reporting.
Strong Analytical Skills applied to performance measurement, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision support.
Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles (e.g., VP, Head of Finance, CFO) within high-growth or venture-backed environments.
Knowledge of venture investing, portfolio company dynamics, and transaction processes such as fundraising, M&A, and exits.
Ability to build and manage remote, distributed finance teams and work effectively with founders and executive leaders.
Advanced proficiency with financial systems, BI tools, and spreadsheets; experience implementing or optimizing ERP and reporting platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional designation (CPA, CFA) is beneficial.
Demonstrated capacity to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous settings, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
