Role Description The Vice President Information Technology will lead the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution across Walk On Ventures and its portfolio engagements in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable IT architectures that support performance marketing, insurtech, and agentic AI initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing IT operations, managing technology roadmaps, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring security, reliability, and compliance across systems and data. The VP will collaborate closely with founders, executive teams, and internal stakeholders to align IT capabilities with business objectives and growth plans. This position will also mentor and guide technical teams, evaluate and implement new tools and platforms, and continuously improve processes to deliver high-impact, technology-enabled outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.
Demonstrated experience in IT Management, overseeing teams, vendors, budgets, and day-to-day operations in fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to develop and execute IT Strategy aligned with business goals, particularly across growth-stage or scaling organizations.
Expertise in Project Management, leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
Background in Strategic Planning, using data and insight to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and drive long-term value.
Experience supporting or working within performance marketing, insurtech, or AI-driven product environments is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Track record of operating effectively in remote, distributed teams, with strong self-management and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
