Role Description The Senior Computer Programmer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that support Future of Nation’s learning platform and internal tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, implementing back-end services and APIs, optimizing system performance, and ensuring security and reliability across applications. The role involves collaborating with educators, product teams, and other developers to translate educational needs into robust technical features, as well as reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to technical architecture decisions. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and core Programming concepts.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.
Experience with Software Development lifecycles, including testing, debugging, and deployment.
Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with modern programming languages (such as Python, Java, C++, or similar) and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Ability to write secure, efficient, and maintainable code in a collaborative environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a hybrid setup based in Mumbai.
Experience in EdTech or building educational platforms, and interest in mentoring or teaching, is an advantage.
