Senior ML Engineer

Role Description As a Senior ML Engineer at Future of Nation, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that power our learning experiences, content personalization, and operational decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, educators, and product teams to translate educational and business requirements into scalable ML pipelines and services. Daily tasks include experimenting with algorithms, building and maintaining data workflows, optimizing model performance, and integrating ML solutions into production systems. You will also be responsible for code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to technical architecture and best practices. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mumbai, where you will spend part of your time on-site collaborating with teams and part working from home.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, including model design, training, evaluation, and deployment.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in ML (such as Python) and experience with ML frameworks and libraries (for example, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Experience building data pipelines and working with structured and unstructured data, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and integration with databases or data warehouses.
Background in software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, code review, documentation, and scalable system design.
Ability to work with product and education teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience deploying ML solutions in production environments (cloud platforms or containerized services) and monitoring performance and reliability.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant industry experience in ML engineering at a senior level.
Interest in education, social impact, and building technology that supports skill development for students across diverse backgrounds.
