Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Manual Tester - Edtech at Gyanis. The Manual Tester will be responsible for thoroughly testing web and mobile applications across Gyanis products, executing test cases, documenting defects, and collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure high-quality releases. Daily activities include reviewing requirements and user stories, performing functional, regression, usability, and cross-platform testing, and validating fixes in coordination with developers. The role also involves maintaining clear test documentation, providing feedback on user experience, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and standards in an agile environment.
Qualifications
Strong manual testing skills for web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and checklists based on product requirements and user flows.
Ability to document and track defects clearly using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar).
Familiarity with agile development practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, design, and support).
Good understanding of edtech platforms, student/teacher workflows, and user-centric product design is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on end-user experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage priorities, and meet timelines in a dynamic environment.
