About The Role
Reddit is seeking an experienced and highly analytical International Payroll Lead to oversee and scale our global payroll operations across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions. This strategic role involves managing complex international payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regional laws, and driving process improvements through technological enhancements. As a key contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including People Operations, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Internal Audit, as well as external vendors, to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services. Your expertise will support Reddit’s rapid growth and expansion into new markets, ensuring a seamless employee experience worldwide. Reporting to the Sr. Global Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in implementing scalable payroll solutions, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
Qualifications
5–7+ years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global footprint.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency with Workday Payroll, including reporting, configuration, and integrations.
Experience with global payroll software platforms and automation tools.
Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables, index/match).
Deep understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Manage, audit, and execute payroll processes across more than 15 international countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Lead the payroll calendar, manage dependencies, and proactively address risks to meet pay schedules.
Partner with local payroll providers to ensure adherence to regional statutory requirements and processing windows.
Oversee international equity compensation payrolls, including RSUs and stock options, ensuring regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
Act as the functional lead for payroll technology projects, leveraging Workday to automate workflows, optimize configurations, and develop custom reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Benefits, Legal, Finance, and Tax to ensure seamless payroll operations and compliance.
Establish, document, and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures for audit readiness.
Support strategic initiatives including M&A integrations, new country entries, and cross-functional business launches.
Manage external vendor relationships, ensuring reliable service delivery and effective issue resolution.
