Role Description The Senior Vice President of Strategy is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and driving Orcas Capital’s long-term strategic direction across its core business units. This position leads strategic planning initiatives, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and the development of growth and digital transformation roadmaps. The role oversees cross-functional strategic projects, partners with finance and operations to evaluate investments and business opportunities, and supports executive decision-making through data-driven insights and scenario modeling. The Senior Vice President of Strategy collaborates closely with senior leadership, provides strategic consulting to internal stakeholders, and ensures that organizational priorities align with regulatory requirements, client needs, and operational excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities include refining strategy, monitoring performance against strategic objectives, and communicating progress and recommendations to the executive team and board-level stakeholders.

Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, assess risk, and translate insights into clear strategic recommendations.
Proven Strategic Planning experience, including building multi-year roadmaps, setting measurable objectives, and leading cross-functional planning processes.
Background in Consulting or advisory roles, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and facilitating strategic workshops and executive discussions.
Solid Finance knowledge, including financial modeling, valuation, capital allocation, and performance measurement to support strategic decisions.
Experience in Digital Strategy, such as digital transformation initiatives, technology-enabled process improvement, and data-driven business models.
Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring teams, driving accountability, and managing stakeholders in a remote environment.
Experience in regulated industries or quality-driven organizations is an advantage.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, geographically distributed organization.
