Role Description The Vice President, Information Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s overall technology vision, with a focus on scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that support WOV’s advisory and venture activities. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, security, and applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the needs of internal teams and portfolio companies. The Vice President will lead IT strategy development, prioritize and manage technology initiatives, and partner closely with senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making and innovation, including agentic AI and insurtech-related solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing IT roadmaps, supervising vendors and service providers, directing IT projects from concept through implementation, and establishing standards for governance, risk management, and compliance. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing IT team, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and continuously improving processes, tools, and service delivery.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, and cloud services.
Demonstrated experience in IT Management, with responsibility for leading teams, vendors, budgets, and service delivery.
Proven ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that aligns with business goals and supports innovation and scalability.
Hands-on Project Management experience overseeing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through deployment.
Strategic Planning skills, with the ability to translate growth objectives into actionable technology roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Experience in high-growth, advisory, venture, or technology-driven environments; familiarity with performance marketing, insurtech, or AI is beneficial.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
Track record of building and leading diverse, inclusive teams and creating equitable opportunities for professional development.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP
